This month we had the honor of working with a group of high school students from Terre Haute South. These amazing students are in a worldwide group called STAND. STAND is a human rights activist club that focuses on injustices and atrocities that are currently happening anywhere in the world.

STAND brings people together, like the students at Terre Haute South, to demand that corporations and governments put the environment and our people first. The club was founded in 2000 and has already secured the protection of over 65 million acres of wilderness.

They have also helped keep over 2 trillion barrels of oil in the ground, placed 6.4 million hectares of forest into ecosystem-based management, and have moved over $100 billion of corporate purchasing into more sustainable sources.

Do you now understand why we were honored to have helped South students stand up for what they believe in? What a great organization to be a part of and we are so glad we have local students in the Wabash Valley that are working towards a brighter future for our environment.
